What Happened
After sailing away from port Tagus, the first days of the trip were filled with good weather and high morale. They enjoyed a steady diet of fresh meat and cheese accompanied by beer. About a month after the trip started they stopped at Cape Verde to restock. Our stay was very nice and so far all has been good, Unfortunately, about a month after they restocked at Cape Verde all the meat had rot, the beer had ran out and morale had gone low. There was no sign of land nearby and they feared they won't make it, however after a few weeks the weather became stable again and Da Gama had high hopes. The rumors of revolt had been proven false and they had seen signs of land.
When they reached the Cape of Good Hope they were ecstatic. They wondered how long it will take for them to go to India. After a month after they left the Cape of Good Hope though, the weather was against them and they decided to hire an arab pilot who knew the way.
